I love makeup. Looking good is important to me, and makeup plays a significant role in achieving that. While I understand and appreciate my natural beauty, there's something about makeup that adds that extra bit of oomph of “yes, I am that girl”. Unlike some others you might come across on other websites and TikTok, I'm not here to proclaim, "I hate makeup, and I just want to go bare-faced." Nope, that's not me. I have a quick and simple everyday makeup routine that takes me no more than 10 minutes, and I'm here to share my tips with you.

Tip #1: Skincare has to be point.

The foundation of any good makeup routine is impeccable skincare. Taking care of your skin on a daily basis is the first step. Makeup won't look its best on bad, greasy, or dry skin. Personally, I keep it simple. Every night, I cleanse and moisturize my face, and that's it—just two essential products. No toners, retinols, vitamin C, unless it's necessary for your skin. I recommend starting with a basic routine to identify your specific needs and avoid overwhelming your skin, which can lead to unnecessary irritation.

Tip #2: Skin Prep Before Application

In the morning, after waking up, I splash my face with cold water. If you have oily skin, feel free to cleanse your face as you normally do at night. Then, it's time for a good moisturizer. I opt for a rich cream moisturizer to prevent my skin from drying out and compensating by producing excess oil, which results in that undesirable greasy look. And here's the secret to that radiant, dewy appearance I adore—apply SPF and let it dry down thoroughly. That will give you the glowy dewy loo, radiant!

Tip #3: Concealer, Mascara, Blush, and Lip

For a simple, everyday makeup look, all you need are these four essentials: a light concealer to brighten the under-eye area, mascara to make your eyes pop, a touch of blush for a healthy flush of color, and, finally, those lips. With these, you'll radiate a lovely, natural beauty that's perfect for your day-to-day activities.
